If you call a 'mockumentary' a 'hoax', then yes. If you do a google
search for "Johnny Zhivago" murder suicide, you get hits only on the film
itself, and no news article that would surely be on the Net somewhere if it
was a real occurrence (sensational enough, we also might have already known
about it if it were real). Also, on one film database, one of the keywords
it assigned to it was 'mockumentary'.

Hmmm. It's true we may have heard about it and everything but this was
2-3 years ago or something? And Time Out called it a documentary. Is
it possible that it's real?
