I've had a snake for about a year that keeps coming loose on me, and freying
connections at the solder point all the time. Does anyone know who makes the
most durable 10 pin hirose beta snake?

Thanks,
Tom Curley

Bought mine from Trew Audio 6 years ago. Only problem was when the
camera end was getting dragged around by grips and stepped on. Now I
make sure the camera end stays with the camera. So we now use the
quick disconnect...what a novel idea!

Vark Audio has made all my various combinations of snakes over the
years. All of the have performed flawlessly. The few times they have
failed has been because of camera folks, grips and the like. They are
made with top quality connectors. there phone # is 1-800-972-4373

Good Luck

bought mine first 8 years ago from band proLA so I don't know where it came
from and never did any repapering , the funny thing it came with 7 pin xlr
male on the tail side , so all my snakes that I did from then have opposite
connectors

I have a remote audio and I am very satisfied. 10 pin from my
filmtech to 8 pin quick disconnect. It works very well.

I'll put in my own plug.

ATS Communications made the first commercially available breakaway cable
for news crews in Washington D.C. After hundreds of sales, they remain
very popular and durable. A number of options are available, making it a
true snake "system" with all separate grounds and a durable lightweight
multipin connector.

See info at http://atscomms.com/Line_Card/ATS_BCS/ats_bcs.html
