Well NAB is over and Summer is here. This Tuesday is Sapphire. A special
program planned. Gary Epstein of Dolby will describe the workflow of audio from Production
to delivery in the home for Digital Television. These are things that you need to know.
He describes the presentation this way:
"I will give a semi-detailed presentation on the path that audio follows
from creation to broadcast in the modern day world of digital television.
We will review monitoring, layback, metadata authoring, Dolby E as a transport
medium, and Dolby Digital as the last step in the process."
Gary is Dolby's LA area Digital Television/Broadcast Support Engineer, and also
assists the DVD community with their audio encoding issues.
So bring your questions on Tuesday, May 4
Genio's
1420 West Olive in Burbank
6:15 for drinks and snacks
7:15 for dinner
See you there, Bill
