Can anyone help me tracking down a movie that I can only remember some
details from? I know the film was made between 1985 and 1995 and the
plot concerned a German Jew who survived the concentration camps
during the war. There were boxing scenes featured in the film, so he
may have been a boxer. He did, however, survive an attempted execution
by hanging. This was only one instance in a charmed life.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am trying to locate the
novel on which the film was based. Thanks. |

TRIUMPH OF THE SPIRIT (1989) fits some of this, but the protagonist was a
Greek boxer.
