Hello everyone:
David Gasten from the Pola Negri Appreciation Site
(http://www.polanegri.com)here. I wanted to let you know about the
new Links page I have added to the Pola site. In it, I list a whole
bunch of obscure and not-so-obscure sources for silent videos on the
web (25 altogether), and even list examples of some of the
excruciatingly rare items these companies carry. In addition, I list
a whole bunch of links to sites on European silents, including
profiles on many German stars, info on a new Danish documentary on
Asta Nielsen, and an essay on the reconstruction of G. W. Pabst's "The
Joyless Street" (1925). You can visit this page at

The page is huge and I've already gotten some great response to it.
And if you like modern-day soundtracks, I have also added to my "Music
in Sielnt Films" section a new review of a soundtrack to "Nosferatu"
by New Wave music veteran Nash the Slash. This soundtrack is the most
mathematically precise silent film soundtrack I have ever heard, new
or old, and puts many electronic scores I've heard on official video
releases to shame; it's just incredible. You can read this review at:
