corleones had to make barzini feel completely in control. ONLY way to
make barzini feel that way was to make him believe he'd won over one
of the big fishes of the corleone gang--either clemenza or sal.
and the corleones made it so that clemenza or sal had no choice but
throw his lot in with barzini. so it was corleones betraying sal and
then killing sal for betraying the corleones.
it's like jesus manipulating judas to betray him cuz without that
betrayal, jesus wasn't getting anywhere with his i-am-son-of-god
schtick. |

No, that's not how it played out at all (in the Godfather). Read the
book.
As far as Jesus and Judas, you're obvioulsy out to instigate people
into an argument. Go away.

.... let me get this straight it was Jesus' fault he was crucified and Judas
was the real victim? |
