HI All,
I've got my Zaxcom camera link delivered this weekend, and after
spending most of it playing with my new toy i can tell you now that it
does permit the use of the MS-2 Pearl mic. No surprise , like you all
said, youve got to avoid the cable touching the antenna and neither
bring the mike near it anyhow. However with the mic on a pole, about 3
feet high, it work just fine. About the same with Neumann 81 and 82.
The champion is my 416T! No effect on cable , not even the mic (in
zeppelin) just touching the antenna. As you rightly said Mr Sarokin,
this unit sounds so good that any mic would've go away before it.This
is my first digital wireless (i use 211and 201) and so far i'm just
amazed by how sweet it sounds, nothing harsh in it.
One question: i succeed in having the TX limiter on once, then i
turned it off and since then it just won't go on again. Anybody knows
what's the problem? (TRX900AA with stereo adaptor)
One bad thing though: it's realy hard to find a place in a bag for the
TX with stereo adaptor and it's two plugs.Plus it will not go in any
pouche since you have to take it out to push rec on and off. I find a
way , having it velcroed somewhere on my Porta Brace bag, on the side
next to BDS, it's ok but very vulnerable to wind/rain/shocks etc..
Thanks again |
