somebody mentioned this dutch film to me and said it's really good. i
never heard of it before. has anybody seen it? they said something about
it as "multi-lingual." what does that mean? curious to know if it is
actually a "foreign film" or an american movie filmed on location in
holland. sorry if i didn't see earlier posts about this movie.

i got a used dvd of this movie for a few dollars. the english title is
"black book". it qualifies as a "foreign film", but it's sort of a
hollywoodized "action movie" version of the dutch resistance. i was
waiting for arnold to come out with his guns blazing and save the day,
lol. how much of a "true story" it is i don't know. if you are willing
to settle for a foreign / "action movie" hybrid it might be worth a
look. the lead actress is a ravishing "redhead" who also sings in the
movie, and quite well. she's very talented.

_The Black Book_ got critical raves from the elite critics
in New York and Chicago. I don't see the great depth in
this film that others see, but I wasn't looking especially hard.
