RAZORBACK
Directed by Russell Mulcahy in 1984
Starring Gregory Harrison, Arkie Whiteley and Bill Kerr
Harrison plays Carl Winters, a man whose wife disappears while doing a
news-special in Australia about the mass slaughter of kangaroos. The
report is that she fell down a mineshaft. Carl doesn't buy it and
decides to investigate on his own. With the help of an obsessed hunter
named Jake, Carl discovers the truth; a monstrous Razorback took her
life! He also learns that there were others involved in her death as
well. Now, taking the place of his peaceful nature is an overwhelming
desire for revenge! Everybody and everything responsible will pay
dearly for his loss! There is no part of this film that comes up
short! It's remarkably atmospheric, is a tour de force of editing
technique and directorial talent, and is overflowing with visual
impact! Also worthy of mention are the truly impressive F/X courtesy
of Bob McCarron! This letterboxed print is in English language with
Japanese subtitles.
THE DEVIL
Directed by Chang Jen Chieh in 1981
Starring Chow Shao Tung and Wang Pao Yu
A loving family's world is turned upside down when a stranger arrives
and ends up marrying into the family. He has conned them all because
he is not the kind and caring person he at first appears to be, in
fact, he is a ruthless devil intent on stealing everything the family
has! It isn't the first time he has victimized the innocent and,
unless he is stopped, it won't be the last. The cruelty gets out of
control and results in the death of one of the family elders. Finally,
the forces of dark sorcery are called upon to attempt to exact a
violent revenge. This absolutely disgusting film is definitely over
the top! Bodies are ripped open to show the insect covered entrails
within, blood squirts, kung-fu ghosts attack, tons of maggots are
barfed out amidst waves of green bile, faces are bashed in, and more!
If you've seen this before you'll be blown away by our ultra-rare
letterboxed print that really shows how much you've been missing!
