The Birkbeck College, University of London, will shortly be launching
its Summer Online Screenwriting Workshops. These are courses are
accredited by the University and follow on from the successful evening
workshops Birkbeck continue to provide. This is the seventh year that
these Internet courses have been run with Birkbeck. Their continued
success is testament to the original belief that workshopping on the
Internet can be a very intense and rewarding experience.
The courses are most suitable for students who cannot attend workshops
but still want the feedback and support workshops can provide. The
numbers of students are restricted to a maximum of 10.
Two courses are on offer
SCREENWRITING ON THE INTERNET: AN INTRODUCTION (starts 2 May 2004 for
10 weeks)
This is a practical course for anyone who is keen to write
screenplays. Previous experience of screenwriting is not a
pre-requisite.
SCREENWRITING ON THE INTERNET: ADVANCED COURSE OUTLINE (starts 29
April 2004 for 10 weeks)
This is a practical course for people who have already written a
treatment and/or screenplay and want feedback. Previous experience of
a screenwriting course (though not necessarily on the internet) is a
pre-requisite of the advanced workshop.
