OK, quick question: what the heck is up with Prozac Nation? Is it done?
Is it going to be released in theaters? I recall it got delayed
because of 9/11 or something...what were the exact details again?

It's been delayed because no one wants to release it.

It played a couple of festivals last year to lacklustre reviews.

There's a European DVD

You can find links to various reviews here

Basically, indie distribs rely on reviews, and they aren't getting
them.

It was released for a short time in europe, at least in norway (the director
is norwegian). The movie is not great, but still not a bad movie!

I don't know. Have you read DOWN AND DIRTY PICTURES? They get into petty
arguments with the filmmakers and then just dump the film in a couple theatres
or shelve it.

Look at all the awful Miramax films that do get released and don't make money.

Yes, I have -- but there's a difference between films that make money

and films they THINK will make money.

Prozac Nation is a film that would desperately need critical support,
and the one thing they didn't get at the festival screenings was
critical support.
