THE WOMAN IN GRAY (or GREY) was released by Blackhawk films on 8mm and
16mm in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Because many of the chapters
featured long sequences of the previous chapter, Blackhawk edited
about 5 minutes out of each chapter. I'm sure that all of these
versions are from the Blackhawk prints.

why would Blackhawk "slightly edit" or remove 5 min from each chapter?
Is there some sort of legal reason?

they probably cut out the parts that were rehashing stuff from the
other chapters to save film or to make it easier on the viewer. That's
just a guess.
