I have only been intermittantly lurking lately, but I remember a frequent
poster who can recover "anything" from damaged tape. I have a friend with
a DV tape that he'd really like to salvage. Sorry I don't remember your
name, but if you're out there, or if someone can give me your contact
info, I have a gig for you.
Thanks!

But I think he only does DAT. If he can't do it, call the engineers
at your local TV station, tell them what the problem is, they may be
able to help or put you on to somebody.
