CONQUEST OF THE POLE (1912) and more, video.
With LE GRAND MELIES (1953) by George Franju, a documentary film about
Melies, shown in 35mm. Assembled from archival and private holdings from
around the world. The program will include several of Melies "trick" films
and a presentation of some of his most famous journey films.
Hosted by noted film historian David Shepard.
Special support provided by the Academy Foundation of the Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences.
