This is an excellent film. I saw it on TCM years ago and if I recall, the
print they ran has an alternate ending (possibly one prepared for foreign
markets).

Just to clarify my own post, I meant that the print they ran had an
alternate ending played after the film's standard ending.

Thanks John.
Thanks for the Garbo picture link. It took a little time with my
dial-up Internet service, but I located the same B&W print of the
picture on page four of the photo collection. Only problem, it's only
shown in B&W.
The one I tried to post is a full color image, apparently made
that way originally. It's not colorized, hand tinted or somehow
recreated from the B&W. The brilliant color reminded me of early
color images I've seen from Russia.
I copied, cut and pasted the link onto my computer's home page,
and the color print pops up right away.
Using my Webtv instead of my computer, I can click the link posted
and the picture appears instantly. I can also include the link in an
email without any problem, but for some reason, it doesn't work in
this posting?
As for the color picture. Technology for producing a full color
image has existed since the early 1900s, it's only been the printing
that's been a problem.

I never get tired of looking at behind-the-scenes photos, especially
silent-era ones. In the one linked just above, it's so evocative I almost
get the feeling I could call, "Greta!" or "Jack!" and they'd look up at me.
