It is time again for Dino's Drive-In over at the Echo Park Film Center on
Thursday June 26th. Come celebrate the magic of film and the Bad Boys of
Summmer with a screening of 2 silent film Hallroom Boys' shorts on 9.5mm on
a 65 year old projector Dino recently modified over to a much brighter
halogen lamp. Also the 30th anniversary screening of Nick Broomfields rare
1978 documentary TATTOOED TEARS about at risk youths incarcerated in a Chino
facility. This will be a rare chance to see the complete uncut version in a
beautiful color 16mm print. Some early reviews stated it was filmed in black
and white which was untrue.

Please come out and check out the films and support this wonderful film
center that teaches kids the art of filmmaking actually on film.

SKY HIGH (1921)
The "inside story" of a Day Care Center. Gussie and Archibald lose one of
their babies and have much difficulty in effecting its return from the top
of a skyscraper (ala Harold Lloyd's Safety Last). Is it all real or is it a
dream? (9.5mm, B/W, 13 minutes)

ACCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN (1921)
Alfred and Jules, victims of an automobile accident, are taken to the clinic
of the great Doctor Pankrass and are subjected to severe treatment due to
their flirtation with the nurse. (9.5 mm, B/W, 13 minutes)

TATOOED TEARS 30th Anniversary Screening
An ultra rare screening of the complete UNCUT version of Nick Broomfields'
1978 documentary shot inside the California Youth Authority. A highly
edited and censored version was released on VHS in the UK back in the
1980's, but never the States. This uncut version has probably not been seen
in Los Angeles since it was released. (16mm, Excellent Color, 85 minutes)
