Place your bets! What are the odds when there's only 'One In The Gun'?

Production begins on the modern day mystery thriller, 'One In The Gun'
on May 5, 2008 in Los Angeles. Starring Steven Man, written and
directed by Rolfe Kanefsky.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) April 8, 2008 -- Popular Press Media Group
announced today that production will begin on the modern day mystery
thriller, 'One In The Gun' on May 5, 2008 in Los Angeles.

'One In The Gun' is a sexy brain teaser of a thriller with nods to
classic film noir of the past mixed with a post-modern flair of David
Lynch-style surrealism and surprises. When Mickey Lewis (Steven Man),
a homeless struggling artist crosses paths with Katrina, the beautiful
rich wife of Arthur Webb and is enlisted to paint their home, deadly
passions ignite. Soon hidden agendas, dangerous seductions, double and
triple-crosses spiral Mickey's life out of control leading to a motel
in the middle of nowhere filled with strange people and twisted
secrets that all hold the key to the mystery of Mickey's past,
present, and future.

Mickey Lewis is being played by breaking independent star Steven Man,
who's performance strength in the horror/thriller 'Savage Island'
helped the movie take home over 15 awards, including nine Best Picture
Awards and secure both domestic (Ardustry) and international
(Shoreline) distribution. Success followed again in 'Sweet Deadly
Dreams' with three Best Picture Awards and a Best Actor Award for
Man's turn as a burned-out private detective; and four Best Picture
awards as American diplomat Gregory Jackson, in the period drama
'Orizuru'.

'One In The Gun' has been penned by award winning writer-director
Rolfe Kanefsky, who has just seen the release of two of his films
'Blonde and Blonder' (writer) (First Look / Rigel) starring Pamela
Anderson and Denise Richards and 'Nightmare Man' (writer/director)
(starring Tiffany Shepis) which is one of After Dark Films and
Lionsgate Home video's '8 Films To Die For' (horror genre). Kanefsky's
teen romp, 'Pretty Cool Too', still is a hot rental on virtually every
retailers list. Kanefsky has written and directed 15 feature films
(including 'There's Nothing Out There', 'Tomorrow by
Midnight' (starring Jorge Garcia 'Lost'), 'Jacqueline Hyde' (Warner
Home Video), 'The Hazing' (Showtime/Starz), 'Corpses' (starring Jeff
Fahey of ABC Buena Vista TV's 'Lost') and has written 11 more produced
features.

The production is helmed by producers, Michelle Czernin von Chudenitz,
Esther Goodstein and Miriam Bertke. Award winning producer, Czernin,
who's background includes multiple awards for her produced feature
films, commercials and music videos, also owns Popular Press Media
Group (PPMG), an integrated marketing and sales firm specializing in
independent feature films. Award winning producer Goodstein has been
the driving force behind many independent box office successes
including 'Nightmare Man' (Lionsgate), 'Jacqueline Hyde' (Warner
Bros), 'Pretty Cool Too' (MTI). Bertke is a former SVP of an
international cosmetics empire, 'One In The Gun' marks her feature
film debut as producer.

With casting currently under way, 'One In The Gun' promises to be an
independent standout worthy of attention.
