I just opened up my Eclair NPR, it had been stored in its travel case
for about a year. When I removed the magazine, I saw that a little bit
of the foam that stays
between the magazine and the plate had dissolved. I don't know if this
occurs naturally.
Here are pictures of what I mean:

The pictures were taken with flash, the plate is supposed to be silver,
not white.

Any suggestions on how to repair the magazine and plate?

Should I scrape off the melted foam from the plate and stop using that
magazine? The other magazine that came with the camera did not have
that problem. The foam on it is intact.

Since I have nothing to protect the plate with, I put the magazine back
on and placed it all back into the case. The camera came from Isaia a
year or so ago without the plate.
I'm living in a hot climate, maybe that has something to do with the
foam melting. But the foam on the other magazine stayed normal, so I
don't know.
