Tarantino's movies have exactly what Ep 1-3 lack - style! Humor! No,
SW wasn't meant to be R rated, but the original series, hokey as it
was, had mojo, it was swashbuckling. In that, it was kinda like
Quentin lite. There are some funny threads from long ago about
Tarantino directing EP 1-3 (search for "Pulp Science Fiction", heh).
People were hoping QT would direct the trilogy - can we say "I told
you so" ? The more uptight unimaginitive people hated the idea. This
is the kinda mindset that gave us "the phantom menace", a sterile
muppet movie of a star wars film (hey! i don't even want to insult the
muppets with this, they are at least funny). Ep.2 was decent, but
still doesn't have any mojo like the original series, and Ep.3 doesn't
promise much in that area. Maybe there's still hope with episodes 7-9
! It doesn't have to be x-rated - remember what Lynch did with "The
straight story"?? QT would do Star Wars justice! |

there is controversy about that.
lucas has always been one to keep secrets,
and it has been said that he's not talking about 7-9
because he doesn't want the attention/pressure/distraction. |

tarantino *is* capable of straight dialog you know.
you don't think ep 1 & 2 lack personality in the least bit,
or fail where 4-6 succeeded?
