Crap, this box office has got more bombs on it than a Sudanese aspirin
factory.

'Passion' is making one last surge, and The Alamo is doing fair-to-middling
box office, but Ella Enchanted, The Whole Ten Yards and The Girl Next Door
comprise the 8th, 9th and 10th position. Walking Tall is crawling it's way
into #7 and The Prince and Me, The LadyKillers and Jersey Girl are already
out of the Top10. Did someone forget to schedule all the crappy films for
February or is my calendar ahead by two months?

The Oscars changed the schedules by coming early.

And why do you equate lack of box office success with "crappy movies"
-- I rather liked Jersey Girl and Ladykillers.

Uh, did you happen to see The Alamo? Not a crappy film by any means.
As a matter of fact, CNN, Roger Ebert, Access Hollywood, Hollywood
Reporter, FOX News, CBS, etc all gave it glowing reviews.

So you're saying that with a straight face? What did the reviewer for
KSAT San Antonio Radio have to say?

Hiya, John. While we're talking about #9, did you notice who's #1 yet? Hmm.
I'm trying to recall who was it that said (in response to whether a certain
"freeky" movie would recapture #1):

"That's a foolish question -- Passion dropped out of the top spot some
weeks ago."

So, if you're saying hundreds of people (and, um, school buses--BUT THAT
REALLY DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!) rushed to the movie because
of Easter, I guess that begs the obvious comment: "Enjoy it NOW..."

Not sure where you're going with this, but KSAT gave it a 3 out of 4
star review. Maybe you should just go suck a spoon or something.

I think he's saying that you're a pompous ass who made a fool of himself in
smugly putting down everybody who predicted this film would "rise" again on
Easter weekend. And he's right.

What else can I say, but recant yet another great quote:

That was based on Friday's figures. I thought it might do $15 million over
the weekend, but as it turned out, it seemed to only get worse as the
weekend went on. Yes, it was a flop.

_The Ladykillers_ is outstanding, IMHO. Let us not forget that _The Wizard
of Oz_ and _Fantasia_ bombed when they first came out as well.
