I just downloaded the demo to FrameForge 3D, and I'm very impressed. This
looks to be a very good storyboarding program that not only allows you to
create very detailed storyboard frames but also allows you to "explore" a
set for that right shot once you've created your virtual 3D film-space.

But, whew, would you look at that price! $349 is a bit friggin' steep!

Even at the introductory price of $249, that's still damn high for the
struggling indie filmmaker.

I am impressed with FrameForge, though, and I am considering shelling out
the fazouls.

Question: I'm looking to evaluate other storyboarding and pre-visualization
software. I know about Ian Pegler's freeware Storyboard Tools, and I like
it quite a bit (and you can't beat the price).

I've also looked at Storyboard Lite, which is just too doggone
non-user-friendly.

I believe I looked at BoardMaster and didn't like it.

And, I've heard nothing but horror stories when it comes to Storyboard Quick
(and the expensive and complicated Storyboard Artist).

I'm really leaning towards more pre-visualization stuff (which is what I
like about the combination program presented in FrameForge).

Do any of you have a favorite pre-visualization or storyboarding program you
would suggest I try?

Thanks,

C.
