Has anybody tried out
http://www.newspaperarchive.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=0&tabid=1

It's a bit pricey at $79 a year, and the newspapers it archives isn't that
impressive in the one search I did, so i was wondering if it was useful.

It is very useful, and there is no need to shell out $79 for the year, you
can sign up by the week or the day, and you can search for free and obtain a
list of references and first line extracts. It mostly collects rather obscure
smaller papers, but it adds pages all the time.

Hmmm. I tried the free membership, created an account, logged in, but
every time I run a search I keep getting the same page about various
membership
options. Actually the main thing I'd be interested in knowing is if they
include old (1920's)
comic strips...
