Probably not by bringing them up on newsgroups that are unrelated and
uninterested in the problem.

Now don't even get me started on what I do for junk FAX senders. I'm
itching
for a court date with one of them so I can collect my $1500/FAX as well
as get
the FTC to levy $11K/FAX fines against them.

What IS the best way to deal with junk faxes?

I discovered the answer to that some years ago, after a company kept sending
annoying, repetitive faxes to me.

I sent an annoying, repetitive fax to them. All at one time. I call it the
"Loop-o-Fax" treatment :)

It's simple: write a bold message on a standard-sized sheet of paper, and
inform them that you want to be removed from their fax list. Tape a blank sheet
after this so you have one long sheet. Run it partway into the fax...then
connect the two loose ends with tape so that you have an endless loop. Then hit
"send".

I let my Loop-o-Fax run for 20 minutes. They got the message, and I got no
further faxes.
