They represent the spirit of David Cronenberg.

The one Satan was carrying? That would have to be one of Satan's servants,
wouldn't you think?
And Mel evidently was trying to show how weak such creatures are by making
them small. Even Satan didn't seem too threatening. |

Which is biblically correct. There is a passage in the bible, can't
remember off the top of my head, that says in the end when Satan is
revealed, people will scoff and say something to the effect of "This fellow
was the one who caused all this trouble?"

It's quite likey the "satan child" is meant to mock the symbols of Mary and
baby Jesus.
As for the kids who torment Judas, I think those are just his personal
demons. |

They were Christ's agent and manager, and they were pissed at Judas for
queering J.C.'s upcoming book and movie deal and promotional appearance on
Oprah.

Why are you posting this in the past-films newsgroup, among the others on
your newsgroup line, instead of the current-films group where it belongs?

"BOOOOOOOOOOY!"

I kept waiting to see him in Bubba Ho-Tep. A Coscarelli film set in a
nursing home and no Scrimm? Sacrilege! |

Those are the munchkins. If Jesus had only clicked his heels three times, it
would have been revealed that the whole thing was a bad dream and he would
have been back home in Kansas again. |

Oh ok, I haven't seen the movie yet, but Hobbits came to mind when I saw
mention of "the little midget creatures". |

"Follow the yellow brick road...........We're off to see the wizard, the
wonderful wizard of Ozzzzzzzz." Did you Australians know you had a wizard
in your midst? Let me guess, you're keeping the Emerald City secret so as
to keep tourists from coming in and trashing it, is that right?
Wellllllllll, now we know. [Could I be any more goofy? Uhmmm, why yes,
I could be.] |

But don't you think the scene where they all sing "Ding Dong, Christ is
Dead" to be a little tasteless?
swac
He's not only merely dead, he's really most sincerely dead. |
