performances which totally, completely, and definitively adapted a
novelistic character onto the silver screen... so much so that it'd be
foolish for anyone else to try.
brando-vito corleone. godfather. a remake in the future? blasphemy!
o'hara-leigh. gone with the wind.
nicholson-mcmurphy. cuckoo's nest. well, maybe not definitive but
powerful.
