"Titanic" was huge, and "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" was shockingly
successful consider it was bluegrass and won Grammy for album of the
year.

I do remember the "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack selling a truckload of copies,
although I'm still not sure why.

Only one truckload? That would be a lot for a classical release, but
seems rather disappointing for a very popular movie.
