STANFORD AT 20:
It's been two decades since the Stanford Theatre reopened in December
1989 after an incredible restoration spearheaded by David Woodley
Packard.
It's shown more than 2,000 classic movies since then and will
celebrate with a 20th anniversary festival of "greatest hits" that
begins today (08Oct09) and runs through Dec. 26.
Can you remember the first movie at the refurbished theater?
It was "The Wizard of Oz," which will be showing on the actual
anniversary, Dec. 8.
