i saw this '59 soviet era film on IFC and think it's great. has anyone
seen it? the prokofiev-esque music is very good too, by the composer
mikhail ziv, whom i had never heard of before. later i found a used dvd,
but for some reason the subtitles don't work. the 3 language tracks are
russian, english, and french. the dubbed english is allright i think,
but the french voices match the characters' personalities a little
better. anyway, this is a very good movie if you haven't seen it. mike,
