Platform: Pardus 2009 (KDE 4.2.4)
Newb user wants to install Pan newsreader, Gambas dev tool, Rhythmbox music
player, and Epiphany web browser.
None of them are listed in the Package Manager 2.0 app in Pardus.
Won't some cola "advocate" kindly explain step by step how to get each of
these small packages installed on Pardus? |

Why? None of them are "best of breed". Rhythmbox had some potential for
a while.

Only Rick really talks about the "community", but most "advocates"
killfiled him ages ago for making too many slip ups. |

Pan newsreader has been requested by several people on the forum,
including myself, and the developers are working on adding this to Pardus
2009.1.

Now, I would like an answer to my question please.
Why are you constantly scouring distributions forums if you hate Linux
that much. Surely your time would be better employed trying to help
others with their Windows systems?

I put it to you that your sole purpose on this newsgroup is to make
personal insults against those who run a different operating system to
yourself. You are a pointless, cynical little chap who needs a purpose -
now please go and find one. |

I have never been paid - I cannot receive any sort of monetary gain. It
does not stop me helping others. |

What about *you* helping the "community" by taking your frustrations out
on your partner instead of here? |

Note: I did not ignore "Hadron". I ignored the fellow on the Debian

insane Quark troll started harping on it.
"Hadron" came along later. And I did not hose the system; Debian and the

Oh, and that was only on my 64-bit box.
I'm /still/ using the Nvidia binary blob and compiled interface on this
32-bit laptop. And I will keep doing that until it breaks. Hopefully, by
that time either nv or nouveau will deal with Twinview properly.

Never get in a Linux debate Jed : it's clear you're a "works for me"
fanboi.
It's also clear that you don't use what you claim you do since you
don't even get the basic technical details right. It's like you picked
up on an problem from an older version and have continued to fixate on
that. The problem with that is that stuff changes and improves.

So is "Hadron", as long as you're talking Windows.
