Hi,

I know 386TSS is used in os kernel, how about 286TSS and its structure?

Thanks a lot

Probably not, since Linux doesn't run on 80286.

Is it possible for DOS?

Oh, maybe 286tss is not used in DOS kernel since DOS is a signal-task

operating system. Is it possible for windows 1.0 etc.

Thanks

You might ask in a Windows newsgroup. Maybe Minix would use it. The
comp.os.minix newsgroup seems to be dead. There might be a forum on the
minix.org web site, or you could look through the kernel source code.

OS/2 1.x (the 16 bit versions) used that TSS. See Deitel/Kogan "The
Design of OS/2" for a description how it's done and how OS/2 uses more
than two of the four protection rings of intel CPUs.
