KDE

Session

Manager

(ksm) server which runs the logins, X11, desktop, menus.

Why won't it start? Maybe a video configuration problem?
What changed right before the failure, Hoss?

It never failed, it never ran. I just downloaded and installed KDE4 from
Yast Suse KDE repository using gnome.

Which distribution are you using? Which version of that? Which
version of kde4?

How did you install kde4 (using the distribution's package manager
for using packages from kde.org)?

Are any useful error messages showing up in ~/.xsession-errors?
