Hey there,

I am trying to install debian 30.r2 onto a LSI Logic MegaRAID system.
The RAID disks do not have any operating system on them and they have
been placed on the secondary master, not the first.

For some reason, neither debian, nor red hat 8 is seeing the hard drive.
Debian does not have the driver built into the kernel for the RAID
device, but red hat does, and LSI claims it is supposed to work.

I have the header file and .c file that makes up the driver but how do I
get the newly compiled kernel with this driver in it onto the RAID disks?

The CD does not recognize the hard drive and the kernel is too big for a
floppy. I am sure one can run RAID with debian but I am unsure how to
install.

Any pointers to other resources would be greatly appreciated.

Just make the hd's mster on the raidcontroller.
Boot a good kernel with scsi support(You can those if you boot from cd), and
you are installing the system Wink
