Hi, I wish to return to Linux Mandriva (Mandrake) with One, Mandriva One
website stated that we can either install it as usual or running in CD
virtual mode to enjoy the system but when I put the installation DVD in
under Window XP mode it neither gets installed upon clicking and I also
didn't see any click options for DVD virtual flash mode to use the new
release, any input much appreciated in this matter.
Thanks

I will suggest using the alt.os.linux.mandriva usenet group in the future.

You have to boot the cd. At that point you are running from the CD.
You click Install and you will have it installed on your hard drive. |

You must make sure your bios boot order is cd/dvd first and reboot while
the Mandriva One is in the drive.
Hope this helps.

Hi Aragorn, is it not as according what I have read that Mandrake Linux
was being sued by Marvel or some such Hollywood establishment because
the Mandrake is one of their cartoon commercial asset?

MandrakeSoft has merged with Conectiva in 2005 and since then adopted a new
name, Mandriva. Hence, most of the Usenet activity regarding Mandriva
Linux now takes place in the group /alt.os.linux.mandriva,/ and this one
here has become deprecated. Only few of us still monitor this group
here.

Mandrake The Magician (tm) was a trademark, and MandrakeSoft lost
the court case on trademark infringement. The name had to be
changed.
The merger with Connectiva provided the opportunity and the "iva"
for the new name.
Cheers!
