I'm new to Linux and just got an EEEPC Linux computer. I was unable to
connect to the internet via wireless - I kept getting the error ra0
already configured, something like that. After some searching on
google and trial and error I found that typing the command "sudo
ifdown ra0" in the termnial then trying to connect worked. I'm such a
noob, I don't know what the command does but does anyone recognize the
problem here? Is there a fix other than me typing this thing in every
time? Thanks.

"Sudo" allows you to make system changes as an "administrator"

"ifdown" is a command that will turn wireless activity off
"ifup" is it's counterpart

"ra0" is the system name for the wireless device
