Just downloaded Mint 5 RC1 KDE. Was my download faulty or are there no
desktop icons and no way to install it. At least my download did have any.

I was not surprised at the rudimentary tools for setting up the internet
access, after all it is built off Ubuntu (lets face it, the tools in
Mandriva/PCLinuxOS have me spoiled Smile ). But no desktop icons is going a
bit far.

If root doesn't have enough room to install everything

you won't have any icons. KDE takes an additional 1.5
gigs to install then after install it will deleate temp
files.

Hence RC1. Welcome in the world of beta testers.
