This is not a big part of my skill set. My router allows two
computers to share a cable modem connection, using DHCP to assign
IP addresses. In the past I've been able to ftp files back and
forth between the two systems but this isn't working since
upgrading the hardware and the OS. Fedora9 is running on the one
box and the other box is a Mac using 10.3.

The problem is setting things up so I can connect to the Mac. Now
all I get is a "connection refused" error message. It was years ago
when I last set this up, and I think I first made an ssh connection
and worked from there, but it was a long time ago. Any help would
be appreciated.

The Linux Documentation Project is a good source of info on everything
Linux, including networks, networking and how to set them up.
