Many years ago I set up a Linux box using Caldera OpenLinux eServer 2.3 with
Sendmail V8.9.3. For the most
part it has served my needs very well. I recently replaced my desktop PC
using a static IP with a laptop using the same static IP. Now I am unable to
fetch my mail. I receive the following message: "Your server has
unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include
server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account:
'xxx.com', Server: 'xxx.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"
Other machines within the same domain using dynamic IPs are also unable to
retrieve mail, but never could. Can someone offer any suggestions? I must
say that I have no recent experience with this as it has been working
without need of attention for a very long time. I use Webmin V1.210 to make
changes to the system.
