The rapid arrival of investorvillage on the message board scene has given
rise to interest in who the principals are, and if they've got any hidden
agendas.

From the investorvillage about us page, Ralph "Blue" Kidd is described as
the Co-Founder, CEO, and Site Administrator. He was known as
bluekidd1 on Y! message boards.

His full name is Ralph Vincent Kidd. There are 4 RVKs in total. I is
presumably deceased, II, III and IV have various businesses registered in
the state of Louisiana.

I believe the one we are interested in is Ralph V. Kidd IV(as in four not
investorvillage). LA says he's a manager/member of 3 companies,
Research-Driven Equities LLC, Integritymessageboards.com LLC and Casitas
Del Mar LLC. John Kidd and Ralph III are also manager and/or members of
the dotcom and Ralph III is a member of Equities. John is Ralph's brother.
III is the father and a urologist. IV is self-described as an attorney in
campaign contributions, though Martindale Hubbard has not heard of him.
Conformation RVK IV = bluekidd1 can be found by the whois contact info for
the dotcom. The mailing address used for IV in the corporate filings is
shown by googlemaps to be a modest residence.

IV has another site called basherjokes.com, and is by all appearances very
lame.

So far rumours spread by finance group participants that Research-Driven
Equities is a hedge fund profiting from pumping on stock boards is
unsubstantiated by facts.

That's just taking the piss! (Only kidding!)

Sorrysorrysorry. Thanks for the signal. What is it about Integer
Ralphs? Parenthetically, it's pretty damn neat for the Net's premiere
basher community to show up out of the Blue and start making a thousand
demands of its hosts.

After a bit of spelunking, I am no nearer to knowing anything about IV
except this:

http://investorvillage.com/smbd.asp?mb=173&mn=1&pt=msg

There doesn't appear to actually have been an investigation. Wading
through the cross eyed detritus on the EAG board only creates more
confusion.

The premise, from what I can glean, is that Ralph Kidd started a
private email discussion with select EAG longs which then became
buyb4therush.com, after which they opened it up and eventually shut
down a bunch of boards due to the alleged investigation.

EAG posts I sifted through accused them of being pump and dump
operators, of running a hedge fund that invested in stocks they
allegedly pumped on their boards, etc yet I can find nothing concrete
to support that. On top of which the posts claiming these things appear
to be the work of cretins.

EAG is notorious for launching a lawsuit against a bunch of Yahoo
posters recently.

There ought to be a big picture view of the whole sordid mess that
seperates fact from fiction, but there is so much smoke around it all
that it will take a determined effort to winnow any facts from it.

For a good laff, check out what happened when I requested info about
the Kidds on the EAG board at investorvillage! Someone else had already
started a thread titled "I assume all know that Blue runs the investor
villiage?", so I posted this reply:

<<<<After migrating from Yahoo I discovered that EAG's old private
message board guru Blue is the administartor of this board.

His EAG PRIVATE board sure was responsible for a lot of EAGLETTES a lot
of dough!>>

I have been trying to get background info on the Kidds since so many
people have migrated here from Yahoo, including the entire Y!SCOX
board.

I looked on Y!EAG and saw a lot of posts like the one I am responding
to:

They make vague allegations about a pump and dump scheme, a hedge fund,
etc, but there is no substantiating links or anything provided.

Another curious thing I came across was this:

http://investorvillage.com/smbd.asp?mb=173&mn=1&pt=msg

Was there actually an investigation?

Can anyone coherently provide some real information about any or all of
this?

Thanks >>

Check out the ensuing hilarity!:

Also, one of the boards shut down because of the "investigation" was
SCMI.pk, who were involved in the Sony rootkit fiasco. Pumpers are
currently working that board on IV.

Are these related by blood, do you mean? In the normal order of usage,
(I'm a III) the grand-father would be Senior (I is rarely used, that I
know, in any correct sense), the father would be Junior or could be
termed II, and the son would be a III, all if identically named.

IV would be the male child of the son in the above...

I realize "I" is rarely used for Senior, it was shorthand on my part. It
is also a presumption that II, III and IV are related by blood, but a
fairly safe one, I believe. A search for r kidd at
www.sos.louisiana.gov/app1/paygate/crpinq.jsp will return II, III and IV,
with addresses and businesses that reinforce my presumption.

Look for "Research-Driven Equities" or "hedge fund" on Y! EAG for the
accusations.

Yeah. I had googled for some variations on "ralph kidd" and seen a trail
of breadcrumbs leading to EAG.
