I've a problem, since when I installed SuSE 10.0 sax2
does no more works. This is what happen when I lunch the command :
root@linux bash 3.00 # sax2
SaX: initializing done, using cache data...
SaX: startup
root@linux bash 3.00 #
When I lunch it appears a little windows " Sax2 : importing data ",
a bar fills but then it disappears and nothing happen.
I tried to reinstall all the sax2 packages from cd and with
apt from SuSE site but nothing changes.
Does anyone has an idea ? |

Few days ago I started a thread "sax2 freezes system", article ID:
<duc5us$etf$1@inews.gazeta.pl> (1120158)
You may try to retrieve it via groups.google.com if it's not available
on your newsserver.
Anyway, try to start sax2 directly from the command line with a command
similar to this:

To create a Xorg configuration from scratch you should issue one of the
following commands as user "root" in text-only-mode (run-/initlevel 3):
"sax2 -m 0=vesa -V 0:1024x768@60" (for the "vesa"-driver)
Of course you can choose another driver module, if you know what your
card needs, or choose different resolution.

When it happens, check /var/log for its last modified entries. There
might be some clues there. |
