Hi,
Xorg just failed to start for no apparent reason.
O.K. It was the first boot of a self compiled kernel,
BUT "telinit 3", "telinit 5" made it start up.
There is nothing obvious in Xorg.0.log.old
What is the significance of SSE versus MMX2?
How about "SetClientVersion"?
"FreeFontPath"?
