CentOS 42 -> 4.3 Upgrade can't find previous install...

While trying to upgrade CentOS from 4.2 to 4.3 no previously installed
system is found.

The system boots and runs fine... but the 4.3 installer only gives the
option for a clean install.

Anyone else seen this issue?

Is it on a logical partition ? Do you have Smart Boot loader installed
? if you
select custom install, can you see the partition 4.2 is on ? Have you
changed any partition labels ?
