I am trying to figure out how to get my atheros wireless card running on an
IBM T30. I have Mandrake 10.1 installed. I am also looking to pick an OS I
have been trying a few. Red Hat 9.0, Fedora, and Mandrake. I seem to be a
bit behind the times. I understand that Mandriva is an upgrade for
Mandrake. The Fedora Core really flaked out after I updated it on line. I
got a lot of premission errors when I tried to boot after the upgrade. I
was using root for everything,
I have been trying to use the automatic update in Mandrake. It just tells
me I don't have a suitable mirrors. Anyone have any advice. I am really
looking to get an environmnent setup for wireless and development using
Montavista. I have a PC104 platform to play around with.

I upgraded to Mandrake 10.2 and now see a wireless connections icon in the
gui but cannot figure out how to add the wireless card now.

A friend suggested I try NDIS (http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader) with Mandrake 10.1. I could not get it to work. Perhaps you will have better luck.

Well maybe it will I obviously have other issues. I am trying to get ccl

installed so I can compile some packages. Thanks for the heads up.
