I have a debian install cd.
I also have an old machine that will
not boot from the cd.
The bios is simply too old.
It soes not offer the option to boot
from the cd.
Any ideas on how I can still use the cd
to install debian?

Ok - turns out that the debian install cd
has a program under the /install dir,
called sbm.bin, that will allow you to
boot from cd after an initial floppy boot.
