Is there an OpenOffice package for Slack 13?
How could I install otherwise?

For me works slapt-get. If you have
SOURCE=http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-13.0/
in repository list for slapt-get, then just
slapt-get --install openoffice-autobuilder-multilang
will ask some questions and downloads, installs what is needed.
