I have a scheduler related question (see my thread about
hyperthreading) and I wanted to find a good kernel related mailing
list. I was under impression that "LKML" is for developers only. If
that is wrong, I will be happy to be corrected.

Yes, lkml is for developers, but technical, kernel related queries
are usually answered. Non-kernel queries may be answered or ignored.
Using real name and email is expected. Ber aware that subscribing
to lkml will result in hundreds of emails / day at times.
Check http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html too.
LKML is archived in several places, including usenet, lkml.org and
others -- you may be able to search for info.
Grant.
