Want to thank all that responed to the posting that was: print cd/dvd.
I got the Epson Artisan 810 and the epson drivers. Could not get the
printer to work. I'm using Suse 10.2 and it would find the printer. When I
configured it in Yast2 or in Cups and then tried to print a test page, it
would not print.
Another thing, I rebooted the computer and when the splash screen for
entering the bios setup appeared, the computer hung. I waited a couple of
minutes and it failed to continue. If I disconnected the printer, then it
would boot normally.
The printer is going going back monday. Looks like a paperweight to me,
but someone else may have better luck with a different version or a
different distribution of Linux.

Thanks again.

Personally I'd stay away from those multi-function devices.

I'm sure there is pretty good Linux support for Epson printers.

I personally have a pretty old Epson and have found good Linux support
for it

I'd suggest you check at avasys.jp before you take it back. That is the
main Epson Linux support site.

That is where I got the driver that I was using. Tried 3 or 4 selections
beside the one for the 810 that I thought might work. No go.
