How to extract the X11 package/rpm from the RHEL5...

I only find the debuginfo rpm's, not the standard rpm's.

What's up with that?

It looks like you'll have to download the source rpms from
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/enterprise/5Client/en/os/SRPMS/
and build them youself.

Otherwise, if you have yum set up, you could try "yum install
xorg-x11-[whatever]"
