Is my memory going bad, or is it accurate to state that the number
of potential security threats have increased in recent days/weeks?
I used to only see a couple of port knocks a day - now I'm seeing
hundreds on some days. The router is shielding them, but sheesh!

The number of botnets has moved the constant open port scanning from a
mere noisance to a constant DDOS on anything that attempts to log the
attacks. This has been an escalating problem.
