I'm thinking of installing KDE3 on 2009.1. Do I have to deinstall KDE4? I
understand that KDE3 is put in the /opt directory, so can it be installed
in parallel? What happens to the KDE executables that normally go in
/usr/bin?

Duh. Posted to the old newsgroup. I'd better delete it from my
newsreader.

Perhaps so.

Though I suddenly realized I had been quite missing
the place, and so am adding it to my new one, nntp.aioe.org

2006 2007 2008 2009
alt.os.linux.mandrake: 12583/2334 2533/169 371/46 64/3
alt.os.linux.mandriva: 15833/1716 10877/543 11604/716 4879/358

First figure is article count offered by news server, second figure is
kill-file hits. For a.o.l.mandrake, the offered includes the weekly
'Statistics for alt.os.linux.mandriva' article that is now cross-posted
to both groups. (Figures to 14:00 UTC 5/28/09). By the kill/offered
ratio, even the spammers are giving up on the group.

You might miss it, but there sure isn't that much posted here.
