When I try to compile a copy of snort, I get the following error
message: /usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to
‘__open_missing_mode’ declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in
second argument needs 3 arguments. I did the apt-get install build-
essential, seems I do have everything I should. I have snort-2.8.3.2 and
pcre-7.8. pcre compilation goes well. snort is never done completely. I
noticed the error when I do "make". I suspect this may be related to
Intrepid Ibex version of Ubuntu. I have complied other versions of snort
on previous versions of Ubuntu and it worked well. Any advice is really
